The only EN818-3 Standard chain in NZ. The EN Standard is a Grade 40 Standard so this chain is basically the same thing as the US made HT or High-test and 33% stronger than a DIN766/A, Grade L or a G30 chain. This same chain also complies with the ISO4565 Standard so it is the one to use on Lewmar winches, amongst some others.
Note the Working loads will be different than published in the US as they use a smaller Safety Margin. By that we mean we use a larger Safety Margin, as per the world industry standard, which means the Working loads will look smaller. But any G40 chain will break at the same load no matter what Working Load is used.An important note: As the Maggigroup use high grade materials and processes do not apply the following numbers to any other manufacturers chain. There are many chains being called the same thing yet have loads only 50% of Maggigroup products.
Maggigroup® has been manufacturing chains since 1925 and all products undergo stringent controls, which not only involve the functional testing of individual pieces but also includes the identification and evaluation of the product in terms of the environment impact and risks to the user. These processes not only satisfy environmental requirements relating to product use but also guarantee the end user gets a top quality product, which is always the Maggigroup® prime concern.
This makes Maggigroup® chains world leaders in performance, safety and reliability.
