Prowarp3 12mm (1/2″) Nylon 3 Strand Rope
Our Prowarp3 range of ropes has been a work in progress behind the scenes for some time here at Chains, Ropes, and Anchors. The goal of expanding the Prowarp range beyond just the Prowarp3 12.5mm (1/2”) and the Prowarp8 was driven partly by the popularity of the former. More importantly, we aimed to offer a range of high-quality yet affordable ropes that are fully compatible with winches from leading brands such as Lewmar, Lofrans, and others.
Have we achieved our goal? We certainly believe so. The result of all the hard work behind the scenes is a product we are proud of. The new Prowarp3 range is now available in the following sizes: 12.5mm (1/2”), 14mm (9/16”), 16mm (5/8”), 19mm (3/4”), and 22mm (7/8”).
It’s easy to say the product is great, but what makes it great?
Our Prowarp3 ropes feature a 3-strand construction made from Type 6-6 Nylon, produced through a 4-stage process and heat-set. This offers several advantages over standard Type 6 Nylon ropes. Type 6-6 Nylon provides better abrasion resistance, higher strength, reduced fatigue, and lower water absorption. The result is a rope that is more durable and stays supple longer, delivering a longer service life and lower lifetime cost.
Applications: Due to the rope having stretch it can be used for a variety of different applications including, anchoring, mooring, docking, and marina lines.
