Armare Supercable 78 is a high-performance double braid rope from Armare’s rigging range, a series of products designed specifically for yachting and marine rigging applications. Developed using the latest technical fibres, innovative coatings and treatments, and production techniques, the Armare rigging range delivers ropes and lines engineered to replace and supersede traditional wire ropes in terms of weight, handling, and strength.

The Supercable 78 features a SK78 Dyneema® core with a polyurethane coating, heat-setting, and pre-stretch treatment offers high strength and minimal elongation. It is finished with a SK78 Dyneema® cover, also polyurethane-coated which offers exceptional abrasion resistance and UV protection.

This combination results in a rope that is low-stretch, lightweight, incredibly durable, and easy to splice. Ideal for standing rigging applications such as runners, temporary or removable forestays, backstays, structural loops/grommets, bobstays, and other standing rigging on smaller boats. In smaller diameters, Supercable 78 also serves as a lightweight and long-lasting alternative to steel wire lifelines.
