The Grade 60 Plus anchor chain is an upgraded version of the standard Grade 60, manufactured from AISI 318LN duplex stainless steel—a step up from the standard AISI 316 stainless steel chains. The AISI 318LN duplex chain is particularly well suited for boats travelling outside New Zealand, spending extended periods near the equator. This is because duplex stainless steel offers far greater resistance to pitting corrosion and has a much higher critical pitting resistance temperature. As a result, the chain performs far better in warmer waters and environments with higher nutrient levels.
The Cromox® Grade 60 Plus Stainless Steel Chain range is a AISI 318LN chain available in DIN 766, ISO 4565, and AS2321 measurement standards, making it compatible with most anchor winches and leading brands including, but not limited to, Maxwell, Lofrans, Muir, Lewmar, Quick, and many others.
