Custom Lifelines
Lifelines are one of our many specialties here at CRA. Whether it's a big boat or a small one, we can make lifelines to your exact measurements and requirements.

King of the Soft Shackles?
This is perhaps one of the most wear-resistant soft shackles you can get while being incredibly strong. Made from Armare 14mm SK99 Dyneema, this soft shackle has an approximate finished diameter of 22mm, plus a bit more from the cover. SK99, being the strongest fiber available on the market, gives this soft shackle an impressive break load of 35,000 kg. It is then covered in Armare’s sleek, pure black Dyneema wear sleeve, which is incredibly durable.

26mm Optima 4c
Check out this Class 2 splice on a 26mm double braid from our Optima 4c range. Designed with a UHMWPE core and Polyester cover, this rope is built to deliver impressive strength and durability for the of toughest jobs.
The Optima 4c comes in a wide range of sizes and strengths, available from 10mm up to 54mm, with lineal break loads ranging from 9,970kg to 182,930kg. The one pictured boasts an impressive lineal break load of 46,000kg.
While Optima 4c is primarily designed for winch lines, towing lines, utility pulling lines, and mooring lines for larger vessels, it is certainly not limited to just these applications.
14mm U2 Studlink
Galvanized studlink chains are just a part of our great selection of chains we supply, typically for use in larger yachts and commercial vessels. These chains are usually provided by special order, ensuring they meet your required specifications and certifications.
The featured 14mm U2 studlink chain was specially supplied for a superyacht, complete with a Lloyd’s Certificate of Approval. Studlink chains are available in continuous lengths or in shots (27.5m each), which can be expertly assembled in-house by our team.
For this project, we supplied 14 shots (385m) and assembled them into two 7-shot lengths using Kenter shackles.
Tylaska T40 Trigger Snap
This trigger snap, made by Tylaska, is one of many to pass through chains, ropes, and anchors. It is quite the piece of kit and certainly does not disappoint. Made from heat-treated 17-4 PH stainless steel, this trigger snap boasts an impressive 9,070 kg working load limit with a break load of 18,140 kg. This particular trigger snap was used as an emergency release as part of a towline for a superyacht to tow its 40ft tender.

Mr B going hard
Here he is splicing a thimble into some 72mm Dyneema. The line has a break load high enough it could lift 250 Ross 930's at the same time. 550,000 kilos
Beloved leader hard at it
Grant rebuilding an entire countries mooring field.
Ok so it is Niue and not a big field with only 57 moorings in depths ranging from about 30m to 55m . You can be sitting on one while baby Whales play underneath your boat. Niue is worth a suss, we're fans.

Holiday Moorings
We make these for when you take your boat away with you on hols. Deploy one of these and the boat can live on it to save launching/retrieving the boat everyday. Be aware there are limitations but that's OK we'll explain them all to you.

Where anchors go for a break
The same places we do, a beach for a relax and catch some rays

A beast of an anchor
Almost looks like a gun site, that could be spooky if you were in the distant ship.

An older Feadship
In Auckland getting some work done. We did an Anchor System Inspection for their insurance company. One of the many photos taken during that.
Enlarged End link with IACS marking
An Enlarged End link on some studlink chain. Note the stamping which tells us that length of chain has been OKed by a IACS (International Association of Classification Societies) Member. Going to guess RINA judging by the numbers.

Chain
When you have a fascination with chain as we do photos like that do push the right buttons. Don't ask which buttons, life is too short to want to know that

Cartec 60 Stainless Steel Lifting Fittings
A display of some of the best-looking lifting fittings that money can buy. Not just limited to their appearance, these are some seriously good fittings for particular environments where other lifting fittings would simply not last. They are ideal for environments exposed to the elements or where sterilization and cleanliness are essential. This makes them great for use in shipping environments, forestry and the food industry.

When boys wanna know we find a way
The boss was giving his boat a tickle and wanted the best jammer with regards to weight V cost V do they eat ropes (as many do) so he tested a pile to find. In a funny quirk the new jammers on his boat are the same as were fitted when she was first launched in 1984, BSI Easylok Minis.
Load me up babe
Doing some load checking. Having a test bed allows us to check and test varying techniques. It's also handy for showing why that You Tube video you thought was good was actually quite wrong.
Like a bit of leather action?
So do some of our super boat customers. There is also....but lets leave that to imaginations ;)

Men and their sheds
Or it could be a She Shed, we are seeing a rise in ladies going floating on their own terms and we love it. Either way a damn good He or She shed can be a joy to rummage.
