Load me up babe

splice load testing at Chains Ropes and Anchors

Doing some load checking. Having a test bed allows us to check and test varying techniques. It’s also handy for showing why that You Tube video you thought was good was actually quite wrong.

Like a bit of leather action?

B and Lazza doing leather at Chains Ropes and Anchors

So do some of our super boat customers. There is also….but lets leave that to imaginations 😉

Mr B going hard

Brain Splicing 72mm dyneema at Chains Ropes and Anchors

Here he is splicing a thimble into some 72mm Dyneema. The line has a break load high enough it could lift 250 Ross 930’s at the same time. 550,000 kilos

Beloved leader hard at it

CRA Splicing moorings in Niue

Grant rebuilding an entire countries mooring field. Ok so it is Niue and not a big field with only 57 moorings in depths ranging from about 30m to 55m . You can be sitting on one while baby Whales play underneath your boat. Niue is worth a suss, we’re fans.

Holiday Moorings

Holiday moorings at Chains Ropes and Anchors

We make these for when you take your boat away with you on hols. Deploy one of these and the boat can live on it to save launching/retrieving the boat everyday. Be aware there are limitations but that’s OK we’ll explain them all to you.

Men and their sheds

Or it could be a She Shed, we are seeing a rise in ladies going floating on their own terms and we love it. Either way a damn good He or She shed can be a joy to rummage.

Chain

When you have a fascination with chain as we do photos like that do push the right buttons. Don’t ask which buttons, life is too short to want to know that
