Its performance is similar to SK75 Dyneema, offering an exceptional break load of 6,800kg while maintaining low stretch — just 4.8% at break load.

UHMWPE is also the perfect synthetic alternative to traditional steel winch ropes. It won’t give you any nasty steel splinters, meaning gloves aren’t required when handling it. It’s incredibly lightweight, supple, flexible, and features low water absorption; all of which make it easy and comfortable to handle.

Furthermore, our AS48 UHMWPE synthetic rope features a durable polyurethane coating that provides consistent colour and excellent durability. This coating helps compact the fibres, reducing fuzzing while increasing abrasion resistance, UV resistance, and overall rope longevity, ensuring reliable performance even under extended use.

To complement the rope’s impressive specifications, we’ve paired the 8mm AS48 UHMWPE with high-strength, hot-dipped galvanised tube thimble and a Grade 80. This combination ensures that the fittings compliment the rope’s strength and performance. After all, there’s little value in a rope with a high break load if the fittings can’t meet the same standard.
