Rope and Chain used in Anchor Rodes
We built your Rode using the highest grade and highest strength products.
It will last many years with just a little help from you.
DO – Watch for slippage during the first few uses. It may until things settle.
DO – wash it in clean cold fresh water now and again to remove salt build up. A little fabric softener is OK.
DO – Try to stay clear of strong chemicals.
DO – not use heat around the rope, that will prematurely harden it, that is bad.
DO – try to long term store you gear dry and in the shade.
DO – keep an eye on the splice zone, that is the real hard work area.
DO – keep an eye open for sharps, those and ropes aren’t often mates.
DO NOT – want to see us again quickly? Then tie the end off to your boat
DO NOT – annoy yachties and watch out for motorbikes.
We recommend end for ending the rope after a few seasons. That extends life and performance.
If something looks nasty it probably is so do something about it now. If you aren’t sure feel free to send us a photo or 2 and we can advise.
