The Hempex Braided version of Hempex is a kernmantle edition on the standard 3 strand hempex rope, it features a parallel core with a 16 strand braided cover.
Hempex is a yarn which was developed and designed designed to closely mimic the feel and appearance of natural fiber ropes such as manila and hemp, which it does better than any other synthetic rope on the market. While looking and feeling like natural fibers, Hempex offers several key advantages over them, including excellent UV resistance, incredible lightness, no splinters, and great durability. The rope also has a low specific gravity, meaning it floats on water and does not absorb moisture.
This synthetic copy of the very popular natural fibre ropes is used mainly in decorative situations like, hand rails, lashings and any where a traditional look is required. Particularly good for a wide range of applications on traditional vessels.
