Armare Soft Braid 7 is part of Armare’s range of ropes designed for high-performance one-design monotype yachts and, in general, all high-performance racing yachts. The Soft Braid series of ropes by Armare is designed specifically for use in sheets or anywhere high wear and high running occur on yachts.
Soft Braid 7 features a Super Compact Dyneema SK78, PU-coated, with an anti-flattening insert in the center of the rope’s core. Soft Braid 7 then features a Polyester + Grip Treatment, blended with Dyneema and Kevlar. The Super Compact Dyneema SK78 makes the cover of the rope much thicker than normal yacht braids, which allows for an incredibly durable and wear-resistant cover. Furthermore, with the anti-flattening insert, the Soft Braid maintains superb shape, which helps when frequently running through blocks by reducing the triangularization of the rope, allowing for continuous smooth running and reduced wear.
Furthermore, the cover features the grip treatment on the cover’s yarn, which gives the rope a very comfortable feel in hand while providing excellent grip on winches and stoppers, allowing for good handling and control over the sheet. The Kevlar and Dyneema mixed cover further enhance the rope by significantly increasing wear resistance, while the Kevlar dissipates heat build-up from frequent running and prevents wear and tear due to high temperatures.
