Lone Star Digital Line Counter – COUNTER ONLY
The Lone Star Digital Line Counter (DLC) is the first line counter specifically designed for drum winches. With a bright, three-button OLED display, it’s easy to retrofit to any drum winch brand and model.
Traditional windlass line counters operate on fixed capstan sizes, making line retrieval per revolution consistent. However, drum winch diameters vary with each revolution as the drum diameter changes depending on the amount of rope or chain on it. Rope thickness and drum width also affect the drop and retrieval speed, influencing how quickly the drum fills or empties.
The DLC uses an advanced algorithm that accounts for drum width, diameter, shaft size, rope diameter, and total rode length, providing accurate readings across all drum and line sizes. Just input the diameter and length of your rope and chain, and the DLC does the rest.
The DLC is available in two models:
DLC (Counter only)
DLC+ (Counter + Winch Control): This model allows operators to control the winch and use an auto-retrieve function.
